North Bridge, Edinburgh - Part Closure.
22nd Dec - 31st Aug
Due to works being carried out on North Bridge, Edinburgh from 13 November 2021 please note that there will be a diversion in place for services 51, X62 and X95 heading into Edinburgh. We will be operating normal route out of Edinburgh. During the Part closure, which is expected to be in place for approximately 9 months these services will stop on Chambers St, Bank St, The Mound and Hanover St on the diverted route. New timetables for these services are available to download on our website or you can plan your journey from the Borders Buses app. Please also note that the X95 and X62 will now depart and terminate from Edinburgh Bus Station whilst service 51 will continue to serve Waterloo Place.

Like bus operators across the UK, we are currently feeling the impact of increased covid cases, self-isolation, and a shortage of labour throughout our workforce. This is resulting in journey cancelations across our bus network. To ensure we are delivering frequent and reliable journeys we have been left with no alternative than to temporarily amend our current bus times. The service changes will take effect from Monday 04 April and are scheduled to be in place till 26 June at the latest. Normally when network changes take place it is to meet a demand in customer usage, whilst this is still a key factor, the main reasons we are making these changes is to ensure we are utilising our driving team and ensure the full network has a level of service. Services H1, H2 and X95 will operate from Albert Bridge, Wilton Path, Princes street and Dovemount place for Mart street. This results in Sainsbury’s not being served during this closure. We apologise for this inconvenience which is out with our control.
