Build in the 12th century over the course of more than 70 years, Jedburgh abbey is renowned for its unique architectural style blending Romanesque and early Gothic.

See the remains of the buildings where monks ate and slept. Walk through the recreated cloister garden and imagine what life was like in a medieval abbey. Early Christian artefacts, pre-dating even the abbey itself, can also be viewed in the visitor centre.
