    Galafoot Bridge Closure for Major Works.

    We have been informed that Galafoot Bridge will be closed in an easterly direction to allow major deck refurbishment works to be carried out from 06:00 on Monday 10 August 2026 until 06:00 on Thursday 31 December 2026.

    This will result in Service 314 operating from Fire Station, Abbotsford Road via Tweed Road, Winston Road, the B6374, Lowood Bridge and the Tweedbank Bypass to rejoin its normal route at Tweedbank Roundabout.

    Minor timetable adjustments will also be made to accommodate the additional journey time between Kingsknowe and Tweedbank.

    Service 314 operating from Tweedbank to Galashiels is not affected.
