Tour of Britain 2026.

25th Aug 2026 - 7th Sep 2026

Tour of Britain 2026.

We would like to advise customers that, due to the Tour of Britain taking place on Sunday 6th of September 2026, Services 51 and 60 are expected to experience significant disruption.

This is due to temporary closures of the A6105 at various times throughout the day.

We are working closely with the event organisers to minimise the impact wherever possible and appreciate your patience and understanding while these arrangements are in place.

Service 51 and Service 60:
All journeys will operate their normal route between Galashiels and Earlston. However, due to the closure of Earlston High Street and the bus stance, services will remain on the A68 and will arrive at and depart from the bus stops near the Morrisons petrol station.

Service 60:
Between Earlston, Greenlaw and Berwick, Service 60 will operate via a diversion route using the A68 south of Lauder, then the B6362 to the A697, rejoining its normal route at Greenlaw in both directions.

As a result of this diversion, Gordon village will not be served on this day. We apologise to customers affected by this change.

Service 60 may also experience additional delays in the Duns area throughout the day.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Main Street, Newstead Closure.

25th Aug 2026 - 7th Sep 2026

Main Street, Newstead Closure.

We have been advised that, due to a local event, Main Street, Newstead will be closed between 10:00 and 18:00 on Sunday 6th of September 2026.

As a result, Service 60 will be unable to serve the village during these times.

Customers wishing to board or alight Service 60 should use the bus stops on the A6091, which will serve as the nearest alternative stopping points.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Bus Stop Improvement Works.

31st Jul 2026 onwards

Preparation works for new real-time information screens will begin at a number of bus stops across the Scottish Borders.

During these works, some bus stops may temporarily be without their usual bus stop pole or flag. These stops will remain in use and buses will continue to serve them as normal unless specifically advised otherwise.

Thank you for your patience while these improvements are carried out.
