Hawick Common Riding 2026.

Please note that this local festival will affect our services due to rolling road closures in the lead-up to the main days on Friday 5th of June and Saturday 6th of June. Details are outlined below:

3rd of June:
Delays may be experienced on services H1, H2 and X95 between 0800 and 0900.

Thursday 4 June:
Services H1, H2 and X95 (Carlisle bound) will experience delays between 0800 and 0900.

Service H1 departing Mart Street at 1815 will operate direct from Mart Street to Station Hotel and Burnfoot, omitting High Street and Commercial Road.

Service H2 departing Mart Street at 1820 will operate via Commercial Road and Sandbed to Vertish Hill, omitting High Street.

Friday 5th of June:
Service H2 will operate to and from Ramsay Road, omitting Haggis Ha’ Brae roundabout and Rosebank Road.
Service H2 departing Mart Street to Vertish Hill at 0820 and 0920 will not operate.
Service H1 at 0915 will operate direct from Mart Street to Station Hotel and Burnfoot, omitting High Street and Commercial Road.
Service X95 departing Mart Street at 0830 for Carlisle will operate via Commercial Road, omitting High Street.
Service H1 departing Mart Street at 1650 to Stirches will operate via Commercial Road, omitting High Street.
Service H2 departing Mart Street at 1645 to Burnfoot will operate direct to Station Hotel, omitting High Street and Commercial Road.

Saturday 6th of June:
Service H2 will operate to and from Ramsay Road, omitting Haggis Ha’ Brae roundabout and Rosebank Road.
Service H2 departing Mart Street to Vertish Hill at 0920 will not operate.
Service H1 at 0915 will operate direct from Mart Street to Station Hotel and Burnfoot, omitting High Street and Commercial Road.
Service H1 departing Mart Street at 1550 and 1650 to Stirches will operate via Commercial Road, omitting High Street.
Service H2 departing Mart Street to Vertish Hill at 1620 will not operate.
Service H2 departing Mart Street at 1545 and 1645 to Burnfoot will operate direct to Station Hotel, omitting High Street and Commercial Road.
Service H1 departing Mart Street at 1615 to Burnfoot will operate direct to Station Hotel, omitting High Street and Commercial Road.

Selkirk Common riding - Friday 12th of June 2026.

Selkirk Common riding Friday 12th June 2026.

We would like to inform our customers that severe disruption will be experienced on the above date due to Selkirk Common Riding festivities.

This will result in the A7 being closed between Kingsknowe roundabout to the junction of the A699 south of Selkirk from 0500-1230 that will affect services 73 and X95 to cancellations and major delays as follows.

Service 73 suspended Between 0640 -1135.

The 1140 departure from Galashiels will operate normal to the junction of the B7104 Dunsdale Road then right for Bannerfield omitting Bleachfield and Market Place.

The 1210 departure from Bannerfield will operate via Dunsdale Road to the A7 for normal route to Galashiels omitting Market Place and Bleachfield.

Service 73 journeys departing Galashiels from 1240 and Bannerfield from 1310 will revert to normal route.

Service X95

All journeys will follow the designated diversion between 0500-1230 omitting Selkirk Town Centre as follows.

Northbound services

Normal route to the Shell garage then right onto the A699 to A68 at St Boswells to Ravenswood roundabout for A6091 to Kingsknowe roundabout for normal route to Galashiels.

Southbound services

Normal route to Kingsknowe roundabout then A6091 to the A68 at Ravenswood roundabout then to St Boswells for the A699 for Selkirk.

At the junction of the A699/A7 Shell garage left for the normal route to Hawick/Carlisle.

Please can all customers note the X95 diversion will add a further 20 mins to operate the current timetable between Hawick and Galashiels.
