Fare increase

From Monday 23 March, fares across the Borders Buses network will increase.
The fare increase includes circa 5% for on bus ticketing and circa 10% for app tickets.
We know any fare change isn’t welcome, so we want to be open about why this is happening.
Like many transport providers, we are facing increased operational costs, including fuel, maintenance and running our services. This fare update helps us continue to operate reliable bus services across the Borders and beyond.

You can still make great savings by choosing the right ticket for your journey:
- Buy on the Borders Buses app – it’s quick, easy and often cheaper
- Local tickets for regular journeys in your area
- Wider network tickets if you travel further or across multiple routes.
