Melrose Sevens 2026 – Service Information
Event date: Saturday 23 May 2026
Melrose Sevens will be taking place on Saturday 23 May, and due to road closures in the town centre, some of our services will be affected.
Road Closure
The B6374 between High Cross Avenue and High Street, Melrose will be closed for the duration of the event.
Affected Services
Services 51, 60, 67 and 68 will operate on diversion during the closure.
Towards Melrose (from Borders General Hospital)
Buses will operate via:
- A6091
- High Road
- High Street
- Market Square
- High Street
- Buccleuch Street
They will then re-join their normal route.
From Melrose Square
Buses will operate via:
- High Street
- Buccleuch Street
- Abbey Street
- High Road
They will then re-join the A6091 and continue to the Borders General Hospital as normal.
Tweedbank Rail Station (Services 67 & 68)
Between 09:30 and 14:30, services 67 and 68 will not serve Tweedbank Rail Station.
Customers should use the bus stops on Tweedbank Drive, just outside the station area, for boarding and alighting.
Service 777 Special Timetable
A special day and evening timetable will operate on Service 777.
- Flat fare: £2.50
- Concessions: Under 22s and concessionary pass holders are welcome
