      St. Ronan’s Borders Games 2026 – Service Update
      We have been advised that the St. Ronan’s Borders Games will take place from Sunday 12 July to Saturday 18 July 2026.
      During this period, minor delays and local diversions will affect services within Innerleithen, particularly on Service X62.
      On Sunday 12 July, there will be a road closure on the High Street between 13:45 and 15:15. Service X62 will operate a local diversion due to the Kirkin’ Parade and associated events.
      On Thursday 16 July, delays are expected on Service X62 between 19:30 and 21:00 due to the Fancy Dress Parade.
      On Friday 17 July, delays are expected on Service X62 between 20:00 and 22:30 due to the Cleikum Ceremony.
      On Saturday 18 July, delays are expected on Service X62 between 13:15 and 14:15 due to the Round the Town Race and Bands Parade.

    • ⚠️ Service Disruption – North Bridge, Edinburgh (Evenings Only) ⚠️

      12th Mar 2026 onwards

      Service Disruption – North Bridge, Edinburgh (Evenings Only)
      The North Bridge, Edinburgh will be closed each evening between 22:00 and 06:00 from Saturday 14th March until Wednesday 22 July 2026 to allow contractors to dismantle scaffolding from the underside of the bridge.

      This closure affects only the final journey of the day on Service X62 from Edinburgh Bus Station.

      Journeys Affected
      Monday–Saturday: 22:10 departure from Edinburgh Bus Station

      Sunday: 21:50 departure from Edinburgh Bus Station

      Diversion Route for These Last Journeys Only

      The affected X62 departures will operate the following diversion:
      Edinburgh Bus Station
      York Place
      Queen Street
      Hanover Street
      The Mound
      North Bank Street
      Bank Street
      George IV Bridge
      Chambers Street

      The bus will then rejoin the normal route at South Bridge.

      The South Bridge stop will not be served during this closure.
      Customers should use the Chambers Street bus stop instead.
      Only the last X62 journey of the day is impacted.

      All other services will operate as normal.

  • The service X95 has disruptions

    Edinburgh to Carlisle, via Newtongrange, Galashiels, Selkirk, Hawick, Langholm

    • Langholm Common Riding Friday 24th of July 2026.

      6th - 25th Jul 2026

      Service Update – Langholm Common Riding.
      Friday 31st July 2026:

      We would like to inform customers that, due to the Langholm Common Riding, the A7 through Langholm will be closed from 07:40 to 12:00.

      This closure will cause significant disruption to Service X95, and there will be periods where no through service will operate via Langholm.

      The 05:52 X95 service from Galashiels will operate its normal route to Carlisle, with a duplicate service also running as far as Langholm.

      The 07:52 and 10:22 X95 services from Galashiels will terminate at Whitshiels Café.

      The 08:07 and 10:07 X95 services from Carlisle will terminate at the bus stop on Glenesk Road, near the Co-op supermarket in Langholm.

      The 09:10 and 11:40 X95 services from Langholm to Carlisle will depart from the bus stop on Glenesk Road, near the Co-op supermarket.

      The 08:55 and 10:55 X95 services from Langholm to Galashiels will depart from Whitshiels Café.

      The 12:37 X95 service from Carlisle will operate its normal route to Galashiels.

      All remaining journeys will operate as normal. The last service departures of the day will remain unchanged, with the 17:40 from Langholm to Carlisle and the 19:25 from Langholm to Hawick and Galashiels running as scheduled.

    • Langholm Common Riding 2026.

      Service Update – Lauder Common Riding 2026.

      We would like to inform customers that Service 51 will be subject to minor delays and diversions during the Lauder Common Riding. Please see below for details of the journeys affected.

      On Wednesday 29 July, the 18:46 service from Galashiels to Lauder will terminate at Thirlestane Drive. The 19:34 service from Lauder to Galashiels will commence from Thirlestane Drive.
      On the same day, the 17:35 and 19:05 departures from Edinburgh, which are scheduled to arrive at Lauder at 19:04 and 20:34, will divert from the A68 at Carfraemill via the A697 and B6362, omitting Lauder.

      On Saturday 1 August, the 07:18 and 10:18 departures from Galashiels, scheduled to arrive at Lauder at 08:11 and 11:11, will divert via the A68, B6362 and A697, omitting Lauder.
      The 07:20 departure from Galashiels will operate to Thirlestane Drive, where it will terminate. The 08:04 departure from Lauder Cross will commence from Thirlestane Drive.
      The 10:05 and 17:35 departures from Edinburgh, scheduled to arrive at Lauder at 11:34 and 19:04, will divert from the A68 at Carfraemill via the A697 and B6362, omitting Lauder.
      All other journeys not mentioned will operate their normal route.

    • Service 51 disruption/diversion Edgehead and Whitehill.

      6th Jul 2026 onwards

      Service 51 disruption/diversion - Edgehead and Whitehill

      We have been informed that major resurfacing works will be carried out on Friday 10th July at Edgehead that will result in the C34 Whitehill road being closed between 0900 and 1630.

      This will result in service 51 operating normal route before and after the closure.

      During the closure, service 51 will operate from Ford right onto the B6372 to re-join the A68 then left onto the A6106 for Dalkeith omitting Edgehead and Whitehill villages between 0900-1630.

  • The service 60 has disruptions

    Galashiels to Berwick-Upon-Tweed

    • Duns Summer Festival 2026.

      30th Jun 2026 - 12th Jul 2026

      Duns Summer Festival.
      We would like to advise all customers that, due to the above event, Service 60 may be subject to delays and diversions on the following dates.
      Delays are expected on:
      Monday 6 July between 18:30 and 20:15
      Tuesday 7 July between 15:00 and 20:15
      Wednesday 8 July between 17:30 and 20:15
      Thursday 9 July between 18:00 and 20:15
      On Friday 10 July and Saturday 11 July, Service 60 will be unable to serve Market Square from 17:00 each day. Services will operate via Currie Street and Newtown Street in both directions.
      Customers should use the stop at Black Bull Street for services towards Galashiels and the Police Station stop for services towards Berwick.

    • Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival 2026.

      Service Update – Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival 2026.

      We would like to inform customers that, due to the Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival, there will be various rolling road closures in place. These will affect our services, and local diversions will be in operation.

      On Saturday 25 July, between 12:00 and 17:30, Services 60, 235 and 253 will operate via Coldingham Road and the A1107. During this time, buses will be unable to serve Northburn Road and High Street bus stops.

      On Monday 27 July, between 18:45 and 20:30, Services 60 and 253 will operate via Coldingham Road and the A1107, again omitting Northburn Road and High Street bus stops.

      Service 67 Disruption – Kelso Laddies Festival
      Due to the Kelso Laddies Festival, road closures in Kelso town centre will affect Service 67 on Wednesday 15th July and Saturday 18th July.

      From Kelso to Galashiels, the 18:17, 19:17 and 20:17 departures will operate from Coledale bus stop and divert via East Bowmont Street, Edenside Road, A6089 and Inch Road before rejoining the normal route.

      Woodmarket bus stop will not be served.

      From Kelso to Berwick, the 18:15 departure will operate from Coledale bus stop and divert via Rose Lane and A699 Shedden Park Road before continuing on the normal route.
      Woodmarket bus stop will not be served.


      On Saturday 19th July during the daytime, Service 67 may also experience delays due to the Yetholm Rideout.

      Jedburgh Callants Festival 2026

      We would like to inform all customers that disruption to Service 68 will be experienced at certain times in the lead-up to this year’s festival.

      Wednesday 8th ofJuly:
      All Service 68 journeys between 18:00 and 21:00 will omit Ancrum village in both directions.

      Friday 10th of July:
      The last journey to depart Jedburgh Bus Station before the road closures will be at 07:49.
      All journeys between 08:49 and 12:49 will arrive at and depart from Jedburgh Woollen Mill.
      From 13:49 onwards, all journeys will operate as normal from Jedburgh Bus Station.

      We would like to inform customers that, due to the Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival, there will be various rolling road closures in place. These will affect our services, and local diversions will be in operation.

      On Saturday 25 July, between 12:00 and 17:30, Services 60, 235 and 253 will operate via Coldingham Road and the A1107. During this time, buses will be unable to serve Northburn Road and High Street bus stops.

      On Monday 27 July, between 18:45 and 20:30, Services 60 and 253 will operate via Coldingham Road and the A1107, again omitting Northburn Road and High Street bus stops.

      We have been advised that the Hawick Burnfoot Carnival will take place on Saturday 11th of July 2026, resulting in the following service alterations within Hawick.
      Service H2
      The 11:45 departure from Mart Street to Burnfoot will operate its normal route as far as Burnfoot Shops, where it will terminate and wait until its scheduled return journey at 12:14 back to Mart Street.
      Service H1
      The 12:15 departure from Mart Street to Burnfoot will operate its normal route as far as Burnfoot Shops, where it will terminate and wait until its scheduled return journey at 12:38 back to Mart Street.
